An alternative, sustainable, fossil-free fuel will contribute to the reduction of Axell Logistics’ CO2 footprint.
Diessen, May 2021 – Axell Logistics has ambitious sustainability goals. Switching to HVO100 is a measure implemented by Axell as from 1 May to reduce its CO2 emissions. With an 89% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to regular diesel, HVO100 is the logical choice for any transport and logistics company.
Sustainable fossil-free fuel as an alternative to diesel
HVO100 is a nearly CO2-neutral alternative to diesel and it is extracted from mainly vegetable residues, waste and residual raw materials as well as other organic materials. “We see this choice as another step towards the sustainability we strive for as a company”, says Henriëtte Timmermans, Owner at Axell Group.
“In 2020 we have already taken a big step to reach our goal of operating more sustainably. Since the beginning of last year, we provide our own company as well as hundreds of households in the region with sustainable energy thanks to approximately 5,000 solar panels”, continues Lennard van de Winkel, Managing Director at Axell Logistics.
With this switch, some of Axell Logistics’ trucks and vans use HVO100 in order to reduce CO2 emissions by 150 to 200 tons per year. The aim is to further reduce emissions in the future.
