A new chapter in Sino-Dutch cooperation: Dutch Green Logistics delegation visits Shenzhen
The Netherlands is widely recognised as Europe’s leading logistics hub, combining an advanced multimodal transport network, strong policy support, a mature logistics ecosystem, and continuous innovation in smart and sustainable logistics. These strengths position the country at the forefront of global logistics development.
From 27 to 30 January, a Dutch green logistics delegation visited Shenzhen, led by Dutch Embassy in Beijing (I&W department), the Holland International Distribution Council, and Netherlands Business Support Office (Shenzhen), with support of The Consulate-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Guangzhou. The delegation brought together representatives from Dutch logistics associations and companies active in ports, shipping, freight forwarding, intermodal transport, and supply chain solutions.
During the visit, several Sino-Dutch green logistics and supply chain exchange events were organised. These events connected Dutch companies with Shenzhen-based logistics and manufacturing players, providing a platform to share expertise and explore concrete cooperation opportunities. Dutch participants presented innovative solutions in sustainable, low-carbon and smart logistics, aligning closely with China’s ambitions for greener supply chains.
On 30 January, a large-scale networking and exchange conference brought together nearly 50 Shenzhen logistics companies alongside Dutch enterprises. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between Dutch ports and the Greater Bay Area, improving logistics efficiency, and jointly advancing green and sustainable logistics corridors.
In addition, the delegation visited leading companies and industrial zones in Shenzhen. These visits offered valuable insights into China’s market dynamics, technological innovation, and the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce—laying a solid foundation for future Sino-Dutch logistics cooperation.
